| Content | Dacarbazine, also known as imidazole carboxamide, is a chemotherapy medication used in the treatment of melanoma and Hodgkin's lymphoma. For Hodgkin's it is often used together with vinblastine, bleomycin, and doxorubicin. | Exemestane is used to treat early breast cancer in women who have experienced menopause ('change of life'; end of monthly menstrual periods). | Bleomycin has approval for adult use in treating squamous cell cancer of head and neck regions, Hodgkin's lymphoma, testicular carcinoma. It is also used as a sclerosing agent for malignant pleural effusions. | Letrozole is a non-steroidal type II aromatase inhibitor. It blocks the active site, and therefore the electron transfer chain of CYP19A1. This competitive inhibition prevents the conversion of androgens to estrogen. This action leads to a reduction in uterine weight and elevated leuteinizing hormon. | Ondansetron is used to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by cancer chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and surgery. Ondansetron is in a class of medications called serotonin 5-HT3 receptor antagonists.
