It is used to treat: acute (short-term) pain, painful osteoarthritis (swelling in the joints) , primary dysmenorrhoea (period pains). | Mefenamic acid is a member of the anthranilic acid derivatives class of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, and is used to treat mild to moderate pain.
