Paclitaxel is a taxoid chemotherapeutic agent used as first line and subsequently therapy for treatment of advanced carcinoma of the ovary and other cancers, including breast and lung cancer . PTX binds to microtublues instead of tubulin dimers and stabilizes microtubules by promoting the assembly of alpha and beta tubulin subunits,the building blocks of microtubules.Cytarabine is a medication used in the management and treatment of leukemias and lymphomas. It belongs to the antimetabolic group of medications. This activity reviews the indications, action, and contraindications for cytarabine as a valuable agent in treating acute myeloid leukemia (and other leukemias.Oxaliplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapy drug in the same family as cisplatin and carboplatin. It is typically administered in combination with fluorouracil and leucovorin in a combination known as Folfox for the treatment of colorectal cancer. Compared to cisplatin the two amine groups are replaced by cyclohexyldiamine for improved antitumour activity. The chlorine ligands are replaced by the oxalato bidentate derived from oxalic acid in order to improve water solubility.Cisplatin is a platinum based chemotherapy agent used to treat various sarcomas, carcinomas, lymphomas and germ cell tumors.
