ContentCarboplatin is a platinum-containing chemotherapy medicine, which belongs to the alkylating agents group of medicines. It is used to treat various cancers. It prevents growth of cancerous cells by damaging their DNA that aids in its proliferation. Oxaliplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapy drug in the same family as cisplatin and carboplatin. It is typically administered in combination with fluorouracil and leucovorin in a combination known as Folfox for the treatment of colorectal cancer. Compared to cisplatin the two amine groups are replaced by cyclohexyldiamine for improved antitumour activity. The chlorine ligands are replaced by the oxalato bidentate derived from oxalic acid in order to improve water solubility.Doxorubicin is a medication used to treat various cancers, including AIDS-associated Kaposi's Sarcoma and metastatic cancers. Doxorubicin is a cytotoxic anthracycline antibiotic isolated from cultures of Streptomyces peucetius var. caesius along side with daunorubicin, another cytotoxic agent. Paclitaxel is a taxoid chemotherapeutic agent used as first line and subsequently therapy for treatment of advanced carcinoma of the ovary and other cancers, including breast and lung cancer .
